Most skincare is a solution to a problem it created.
Strip the skin with harsh cleansers, then sell a cream to fix the dryness. Load the cream with twenty-seven ingredients — most of them there for the factory, not for you: fillers to make it cheap, preservatives for a two-year shelf life, fragrance to cover the smell. Then a serum for the irritation the fragrance caused. It's a very profitable circle.
We stepped out of it.

Primordial Skin makes one thing: a whipped tallow balm of grass-fed beef tallow, raw honey, sweet almond oil, and beeswax. Tallow's fatty acids are close to the ones your skin's barrier is already built from. Honey draws moisture in. Almond oil whips it cloud-light so it melts in instead of sitting on top. Beeswax seals it all in place. It moisturizes, softens, and supports dry skin.
And here's what it doesn't do, because we'd rather tell you now: it's not a retinol, not an acne cure, not “anti-aging,” and not a miracle. It's a very good moisturizer made from four things you can pronounce. We even print that on the jar.
Most brands add things. We just didn't.
Built in public
We're making our first run — 100 numbered jars, and not one more — completely in public. Every supplier call, every cost breakdown, every sample that fails our checks: it's documented day by day in a series called The First Hundred on TikTok, @primordial.skin. By the time jar No. 001 sells, you'll have been able to watch everything that led to it.
What we'll never do
No fake reviews — every review on this site will be real, verified, and unedited, even while that means having none yet. No medical claims. No synthetic fragrance, ever. No discount theatrics or fake countdowns. If we wouldn't say it to your face, we won't put it on the label.
